Amanda Leigh Mandy Moore was born April 10, 1984 in Nashua, New Hampshire but considers herself a Florida native since she moved to Orlando, Florida when she was seven weeks old. Mandy spent seven years dancing and being a cheerleader for Pop Warner Football. She discovered her love of singing when she went to a summer musical theater camp when she was nine-years-old. She then began voice lessons and auditioning for plays in the local theaters and got her first role as Ngana in "South Pacific". She has appeared in over a dozen plays in the Central Florida area and has had lead roles in "Bye Bye Birdie" and "Guys and Dolls". When she's not performing, Mandy enjoys shopping, getting with friends, and playing lacrosse. Even with all of her many activities, Mandy is an honor-roll student. She lives with her parents, Don and Stacy, and her two brothers, Scott, 18, and Kyle, 13, and three cats. |
